TOMÁSÍN SINGLE POT STILL IRISH WHISKEY
‘On December 17th 2021, W.D. O’Connell Whiskey Merchants will release Tomásín, their first Pot Still Irish whiskey’
This unique pot still whiskey is named after the home of our new headquarters in Choill Mhic Thomáisín (or Kilmacthomas in English), Co. Waterford. Distilled at Great Northern Distillery in 2016, Tomásín (pronounced: thumb-aus-een) was matured in a first-fill ex-bourbon cask for three years and 10 months. It was then transferred to an ex-Bill Phil peated cask for an additional 16 months. This single cask is the first step in our journey to creating our own signature pot still whiskey, using the cask styles we have worked with so far in all of our previous releases.

The Pot Still range will take time to develop, we have been working on multiple cask styles over the last 2 years and it will take maybe another 18 months to two years to get to a place where we can release a small batch variation, so in the meantime we will showcase our different cask styles individually”

Facts: Single Malt Irish Whiskey. Distilled in September 2016 at Great Northern Distillery. Non chill filtered, 49% ABV. Matured in ex-bourbon cask and an ex-Bill Phil peated single malt cask. Limited to 250 70cl bottles. RRP at € 79.95.
