Micil Distillery, Ireland’s leading craft spirits producer, are proud to announce that they were among the Irish ‘Country Winners’ at the World Gin Awards 2022 this past week, taking home the outright prize for Best Contemporary Irish Gin for their classic Micil Irish Gin. This follows on from previous medal wins at the San Francisco Spirits Awards and the World Gin Awards in the past.
Micil Irish Gin is a luxury Connemara Gin with extraordinary flavour, made using 17 botanicals including 4 handpicked Connemara flowers & herbs; bog bean, bog myrtle, heather and hawberry. All the botanicals are macerated in their hybrid copper pot still for 12 hours prior to distillation and remain in the still throughout distillation, allowing for maximum extraction of oils and infusion of flavour. This is Micil Distillery’s flagship gin product which was recently joined by Micil Spiced Orange Gin, a re-imagination of their classic gin recipe which sold 110,000 bottles to Craft Gin Club UK in October 2021.
