My name is Marc and I live in Dublin – to be more precise – The Liberties. I have always been fascinated by Irish whiskey and its origins. Learning about various whiskeys etc. and the best part – tasting them. What started out as a hobby many years ago, suddenly changed in 2015 – when a new distillery came to town – but not just any distillery.

The Liberties is now home to four distilleries – Teeling, Pearse Lyons, Dublin Liberties and Roe & Co. You could say I have my own Whiskey Trail outside my front door…and you’d be right!

Over the past seven years, I have met so many people in the industry including some fantastic people from the Irish Whiskey Community. I’ve visited some amazing distilleries, attended whiskey launches and tasted & enjoyed some stellar whiskeys. Social media has been a stepping stone over the years – thanks to my followers – to further my appreciation of Scotch, Bourbon and other world whiskies. However, personal & family issues over the past few years along with the outbreak of Covid in March 2020 put a halt to my first blog, hobby and social media presence. Family and working full-time as a Frontline worker during a pandemic took centre stage and to be honest I’ve enjoyed the break away from looking at my phone every 10 minutes – ok, I’m not gonna lie – I did keep one eye on my social channels!

So why decide to give this blogging thing a second go?

To tell you the truth I don’t know but let’s just say…
